CANADA’S LARGEST PRIVATE-SECTOR LABOUR UNION JOINS THE GROWING LIST OF SPONSORS FOR THE UPCOMING 2023 MASTERS INDIGENOUS GAMES
Mississauga, Ontario — August 22, 2023 — The organizing committee of the Masters Indigenous Games is thrilled to announce that Unifor has joined our growing group of community partners. We deeply appreciate the generous support and valuable resources offered by our community partners, and we’re delighted that Unifor has chosen to be one of those partners.

Indigenous Sport & Wellness Ontario (ISWO) is the official Provincial/Territorial Aboriginal Sport Body(P/TASB) for Ontario and consistently delivers outstanding sporting and cultural events. Following a few challenging years of restrictions and limitations on in-person programming, ISWO successfully hosted the 2022 Ontario Summer Indigenous Games.
Unifor represents over 315,000 workers across Canada, making it the country’s largest private-sector labor union. Unifor’s mandate is rooted in community and values the contributions of each individual member. Unifor comprises 29 sectors with over 2,800 bargaining units to support its diverse membership.
