Participation in sport competitions is for Indigenous adults ages 19 and over.
Indigenous ancestry required (from anywhere in the world).
The 2023 MIG offers seven sports for competition.
There are no qualifiers.
Teams do not have to be part of any clubs, countries or associations – any group of people can make up a team.
Individuals can register for a team sport and will be placed on a team if space is available; if we are unable to place an individual on a team, they will be notified in advance of the games and will receive a full refund.
You can register for more than one sport, however, it’s your responsibility to ensure there are no scheduling conflicts. A registration fee is required for each sport (other than cross-country).
The cross-country competition event is open to all registered athletes, FREE of charge. To register for cross-country simply add it to your cart and use the coupon code: MIG-CC-46W. If you’ve registered for Athletics or Canoe/Kayak, you will automatically be able to register for cross-country at no extra cost.
The deadline to register has been extended to July 31, 2023.
No refunds after June 19, 2023.
Athletes are responsible for booking their own travel and accommodations. The 2023 MIG organizing committee has contracted hotel blocks at promotional group rates. You can book here.
