IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION

  • Participation in sport competitions is for Indigenous adults ages 19 and over.
  • Indigenous ancestry required (from anywhere in the world).
  • MIG 2025 offers 10 sports. Some are divided into competitive and recreational divisions, and some are based on age.
  • There are no qualifiers.
  • Teams do not have to be part of any clubs, countries or associations – any group of people can make up a team.
  • Individuals can register for a team sport and will be placed on a team if space is available; if we are unable to place an individual on a team, they will be notified in advance of the games and will receive a full refund.
  • You can register for more than one sport, however, it’s your responsibility to ensure there are no scheduling conflicts. A registration fee is required for each sport (other than cross-country).
  • The cross-country competition event is open to all registered athletes, FREE of charge.
  • The deadline to register is July 31, 2025.

Athletes are responsible for booking their own travel and accommodations. The MIG 2025 organizing committee has contracted hotel blocks at promotional group rates. You can book here.

Registration Fees:

  • Basketball & Volleyball Team Entries – $800*
  • Individual Athlete Registration – $150* 
  • Individual Golf Registration – $250*

*Prices are in CAD dollars and inclusive of all taxes and fees.

  • Participation in your chosen sport competition;
  • participation in the Cross-Country race;
  • 3-day Cultural Village at Lansdowne Park;
  • closing ceremony;
  • access to the Athletes Lounge; and
  • complimentary athlete swag bag upon check-in.
